Talent Show Auditions on January 28
Pickens County Has Talent, SDPC’s first county-wide talent show, will be a family-oriented fun event that will showcase the best of the best within Pickens County. Most importantly, 100% of the proceeds will be distributed to the schools for instructional supplies. Auditions for the Daniel area will take place on January 28 at 10:00 a.m. at Edwards Middle School. The contest is open to all SDPC students and to any Pickens County resident. There’s no age limit or entrance fee. We only ask that acts are “G-rated." 16 acts will be selected at the audition to perform at the preliminary event on February 4 at Daniel High School. The finals will take place on February 25 at Pickens High School. More information is available at the Pickens County Has Talent page.

Averery Jordan Places 2nd in Region Contest
During November’s celebration of career development, the schools in the Pendleton Tri-County Region created 2,073 posters illustrating career dreams. The contest included categories from primary grades through adult professionals. We are pleased to announce that Edwards seventh grade student Averey Jordan won 2nd place for the regional middle school category.
Toga Theme for January School Dance
The media center is sponsoring the January school dance, and it's a toga party! Students are invited to wear a toga over their (dress code appropriate) school clothes. Watch this week's edition of The Panther news program for a how-to guide on how to (sort of) dress like a Roman. The dance will be held after school on Friday, January 27 from 3:15 to 5:00.

New Location for Temporary Main Office
Our temporary main office has moved to the front of the school. Visitors should park in front of the school and enter through the double doors. The temporary office is located on the seventh grade hall in Mrs. Beam's old room.
